fix(server): recover Claude cooldown reset times from proxy errors - #26735
When my proxy exhausts its Claude accounts, Claude Code reports a 429 without a reset timestamp. Even when the error message includes the cooldown duration, T3 shows the reset time as unavailable and cannot schedule automatic resume.
Change
Read the duration from the proxy's all-credentials-cooling-down error and use it as the usage-limit reset time, including when Claude Code has already classified the failure as rate limited. Preserve the existing wrapped gateway error handling.
Scope and approval
This extends the existing cooldown parser to another error format. It does not change account selection or infer a reset time from arbitrary 429 responses. Stock CLIProxyAPI does not currently include this duration in its human-readable message, so this change depends on a proxy that supplies it.
Verification
All nine focused adapter cases passed, covering the 429 proxy message and existing wrapped gateway errors. A real exhausted account pool resuming automatically has not been verified end to end.
Claude Code ignores Anthropic's rate-limit headers when it authenticates with an
API key, so a turn rejected by a proxy such as CLIProxyAPI never learns when to
resume. Read the reset time from the proxy's cooldown message instead, even
when Claude Code labels the turn as rate limited.
Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — Recovers Claude cooldown reset times from a specific proxy 429 error format while preserving existing gateway handling. It feeds existing recovery controls without changing defaults or account selection.

Walkthrough
The Claude adapter now parses CLIProxyAPI 429 cooldown messages and includes usage-limit reset times in reset-time aggregation. Tests cover proxy failure classification, cooldown evidence, and reset values.
The adapter adds parsing for CLIProxyAPI 429 cooldown messages and retains 503 rate-limit parsing when no failure hint exists. Tests cover proxy classification and cooldown evidence.
Aggregate failure reset times apps/server/src/orchestration-v2/Adapters/ClaudeAdapterV2.ts
The adapter computes result failure before reset-time aggregation. A usage-limit failure’s reset time is included in the candidates. The aggregate reset time remains null when a collected reset time is null.
pingdotgg/t3code#27037 — The issue concerns workflow children that fail with HTTP 429 usage-limit errors and require reset metadata. This change can provide reset metadata from a parsed proxy cooldown.
pingdotgg/t3code#26574 — The issue reports proxy-backed Claude failures stored without resetAt. This change derives resetAt when the proxy message includes a duration.
pingdotgg/t3code#27187 — The issue reports proxy-backed Claude usage-limit failures with resetAt: null. This change can parse a duration when the proxy includes one.
pingdotgg/t3code#25021 — The issue concerns parsing a relative gateway reset duration. This change parses another proxy cooldown format but does not address the replay-time base for the existing format.
pingdotgg/t3code#22026 — The issue concerns usage-limit auto-resume and retry behavior. This change supplies reset times for qualifying proxy cooldown failures but does not address retries after a repeated refusal.

⚠️Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.
Match the pool cooldown, not a nested error.
The wildcard after are cooling down can cross into (last error: ...). For example, a proxy message with no pool duration but a nested (reset after 1h) produces a one-hour resetAt. That duration can describe one upstream credential rather than the pool, so auto-resume can run at the wrong time. Proxy errors can include upstream reset text. (github.com)
Require the reset duration in the pool-level message and add a case with a nested reset.

Retain the proxy cooldown when combining reset times.
If the SDK reports a rejected limit with a reset time before the proxy cooldown, this expression discards the later proxy deadline. Auto-resume can then run while every proxy credential is still cooling down. Include the proxy deadline when combining active limits. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Update the reset-time combination in the resultFailure branch to retain the
latest deadline across the SDK reset time, the existing failure reset time, and
the proxy cooldown deadline. Choose the maximum active deadline rather than
letting a non-null earlier reset time override a later proxy deadline.

Match the pool cooldown, not a nested cooldown.
The greedy prefix can match are cooling down (reset after 1h) inside last error. It can also select a nested cooldown after a valid outer cooldown. That can schedule auto-resume at the wrong time. Match the outer all-credentials message and add a nested-cooldown case to the existing table. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

merged current main without rebasing in 5c2d117e98. resolved the cooldown parser conflict by keeping main's shared duration helper and generic 429 handling, while preserving this pr's outer-only pool cooldown parsing and unknown-reset aggregation. the pr remains limited to two claude adapter files.
blacksmith vp run check:changed github/main passed format, lint, knip, graphql checks, affected typechecks, and 296 existing tests. two independent read-only reviews approved this head. both existing bot threads are resolved. github reports no conflicts.
real exhausted proxy account-pool auto-resume remains unverified end to end. earlier runtime evidence below covers healthy provider turns, not exhaustion.
partial verification at 5164a08c105b776f576adb6bf4a99e117750d925, without code changes.
ran github/main (b50d8a1b15) in a separate worktree, then stopped it before running the exact pr head. used isolated application state, repository Playwright and /usr/bin/google-chrome. created projects and threads through the web ui against real git repositories, with no mocks, fixtures or replay provider.
real Codex gpt-6.1-sol and Claude claude-haiku-5-5 turns completed through the web client, server and local CLIProxyAPI on both revisions. on the pr, follow-up turns also completed for both providers, and replies persisted across reload. the isolated database records all six runs as completed.
ran the existing focused adapter cases through blacksmith: vp test run apps/server/src/orchestration-v2/Adapters/ClaudeAdapterV2.test.ts -t 'recovers wrapped gateway limits': 15 passed, 274 unrelated cases filtered out. these tests cover cooldown parsing; they are not end-to-end proof.
the actual cooldown fix remains unverified end to end. the real Claude proxy accepted the requests and returned successful replies. it did not emit the required all-credentials-cooling-down 429 message with a reset duration. consequently the original bug was not reproduced on main, and the pr's cooldown deadline display and automatic resume were not exercised. no fabricated proxy responses or forced account exhaustion were used.
wrapped 503 failures, conflicting or unknown SDK reset deadlines, and nested cooldown errors were exercised only by the focused adapter tests. native desktop, iOS/Android, remote/relay and tunnel clients were not exercised on this Linux VM.

Problem
