punctuation check to recognize and remove complete entity-like suffixes such as

Note Written by thanks @Yuruzuu. i kept your decoration-only implementation and shared chat favicons intact. i merged current main ( verification passed: unverified: native electron shell and mobile. mobile's separate composer is outside this change. known visual detail: brand/globe icons retain composer text color while url text uses link color. before, current main: after: editing and undo: ci status: the head is mergeable, but github marks CI and preview workflows evidence note: git.cafe currently renders these external media as links. the uploaded images and video were inspected directly, including video playback and seeking; first-party attachment upload failed with a server conflict. |

Maria, the "brand/globe icons retain composer text color" note is fixed in b4d7934. The composer's icon widget now uses the link color (

Problem
With the rich text composer on, a pasted URL like
https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code/pull/22426shows as plain white text. The same URL in the sent message is blue with the site's icon in front, so the draft and the message look different.Change
The rich text composer now decorates bare http(s) URLs: blue text (
--info-foreground, same as chat links) and the site icon before it. GitHub gets its brand icon, other sites their favicon, and a globe if that fails.composerLinkDecorations.tsuses Tiptap'saddDecorationsandReactWidgetRenderer. It's decoration-only, so the document, the serialized prompt, undo, and copy/paste don't change.MarkdownLinkFavicon, moved unchanged fromChatMarkdown.tsxintochat/MarkdownLinkFavicon.tsx.findComposerLinksfollows GFM's autolink rules, which the sent message uses: the URL can't follow a letter, trailing punctuation and unbalanced)are dropped, and the trim takes linear time.host:occurrence, not positions, so typing before a link doesn't remount its icon.Out of scope: clicking a link in the composer still places the caret and doesn't open the link. This is web and desktop only. Mobile has its own composer and isn't changed.
Scope and approval
This is a small visual change with no new setting, contract, or server change. It wasn't discussed in Ideas first. I'm happy to open a discussion if you'd rather review the direction there.
Verification
vp test run apps/web/src/composer-links.test.ts: 5/5 pass. Covers GFM boundary and trim cases, plus 200k trailing)trimmed in linear time.vp test run --project browser src/components/ComposerPromptEditorTiptap.input.browser.test.tsx: 20/20 pass. A new case checks that rich text styles the URL and adds its icon, and that plain text and inline code don't.Link icon color (b4d7934)
Brand and globe icons in the composer kept the text color while the URL was blue. In sent messages the icon sits inside the link, so it inherits
--info-foreground. The composer widget now gets acomposer-link-iconclass that shares the.composer-linkcolor rule. Fetched favicon images are unaffected. Captured in the real web app (vp run dev) with a github.com URL (brand icon) and an unresolvable host (globe fallback).Made with Claude Opus 5.5 via Claude Code in T3 Code. gpt-6.1-solon behalf of Mariamerged current main into the existing head without rewriting history. resolved the import conflict while preserving main's link wrapping and this feature's shared favicon component. the feature remains eight files, +239/-48 against the merged base. two independent source reviewers approved
a6c46a0ca7f76946683cb7d3135d5b7ffc496a57; the original bot finding remains fixed and resolved.vp run check:changedpassed on blacksmith: format, lint, both knip checks, affected typechecks, 25 tests across four files, and five react compiler checks. no failing checks existed on the previous head, so there were no failed ci logs to inspect.verified in the real app using playwright and system chrome: url boundaries including entity suffixes, editing before links, undo, caret click without navigation, and rich text off/on preserving the draft. inspected light at 1440px and dark at 1200px. uploaded recording playback and seeking passed in chrome. this pass changes no feature behavior beyond merging main. native desktop/mobile and a new provider submission were not exercised this pass.
final ci: all 29 git.cafe check contexts passed; github CI completed successfully on
a6c46a0ca7and reports the head mergeable. no unresolved review threads. github's external mp4 image embed is unavailable; direct uploaded video playback and seeking were verified in chrome. no dev processes retained.
