Thanks for working on this. We merged the orchestrator V2 rewrite in #2829, and we are closing this PR as part of that transition. The patch conflicts with the rewrite in apps/mobile/src/features/threads/ThreadArrangementSheet.tsx, apps/mobile/src/features/threads/ThreadDetailScreen.tsx, apps/mobile/src/features/threads/ThreadFeed.tsx and 35 other files. Even where the conflict is small enough to rebase, we are asking for fresh PRs against the new base so we can review and verify the behavior in V2. Sorry for the extra work this creates. If the change is still needed on V2, please rebuild it on current main, verify it there, and open a new PR linking back here. We're closing the current implementation without assuming the underlying request is resolved. |
Draft reference implementation. I’m splitting this into small, independently reviewable PRs; this PR is not intended to be merged as-is.
What Changed
Adds shared English and Simplified Chinese translation resources and a saved interface-language preference: system default, English, or Simplified Chinese.
Integrates localization across major web, desktop, and mobile interfaces, including settings, chat, navigation, pull requests, usage views, and Electron menus. Updates date and number formatting and adds translation-key and interpolation consistency checks.
Why
Most interface text is currently hardcoded in English. Shared, typed resources give all three clients a consistent translation foundation and allow users to choose their interface language.
This is a broad initial localization migration across 230 files. It exceeds the repository's preferred PR size.

Adds language selection and translated interface text across the supported clients.
Before/after screenshots and an interaction video have not yet been captured. Browser and native-device verification has not been performed.
