Upgrade parse from 8.6.2 to 8.7.0 and @parse/push-adapter from 8.5.5 to 8.6.0, which add Node.js 26 to their engines. @parse/push-adapter 8.6.0 also upgrades @parse/node-apn to 8.2.0, which adds Node.js 26 too, and with it node-forge from 1.4.0 to 1.4.2. Both have to be upgraded together, because @parse/push-adapter pins parse to an exact version.
Add Node.js 26 to engines in package.json and package-lock.json as >=26.13.0 <27.0.0. 26.13.0 is the first Node.js 26 LTS release.
In CI, run the default jobs, the MongoDB replica set jobs, the Redis job and the PostgreSQL jobs on Node.js 26.13.0 instead of 24.11.0, and add a Node 24 job on 24.11.0 next to Node 20 and Node 22.
Add Node.js 26 to the Node.js badge and the compatibility table in the README.
#9901 made the same changes for Node.js 24, except for the dependency upgrades.
With these upgrades, npm install on Node.js 26.13.0 reports no unsupported engines. None of the APIs that Node.js 26.0.0 removed are used in Parse Server's code. The only related use is in GridFSBucketAdapter, which uses 16-byte GCM authentication tags, while DEP0182 ends support only for shorter tags.
On Node.js 26.13.0, the global fetch can crash the process with an uncaught InformationalError: socket idle timeout after an HTTP/2 request is aborted (nodejs/undici#5936), which affected the tests of the JS SDK in parse-community/Parse-SDK-JS#3173. The specs of Parse Server don't abort fetch requests and don't send them to external servers, because the auth adapter specs mock fetch, so the Node.js 26 jobs aren't exposed to it.

Compatibility
Added support for Node.js 26.13 and later 26.x versions for Parse Server and the Parse JavaScript SDK.
Node.js 26 is now listed among the supported versions.
🚀 Thanks for opening this pull request! We appreciate your effort in improving the project. Please let us know once your pull request is ready for review.
Tip
Keep pull requests small. Large PRs will be rejected. Break complex features into smaller, incremental PRs.
Use Test Driven Development. Write failing tests before implementing functionality. Ensure tests pass.
Group code into logical blocks. Add a short comment before each block to explain its purpose.
We offer conceptual guidance. Coding is up to you. PRs must be merge-ready for human review.
Our review focuses on concept, not quality. PRs with code issues will be rejected. Use an AI agent.
Human review time is precious. Avoid review ping-pong. Inspect and test your AI-generated code.
Note
Please respond to review comments from AI agents just like you would to comments from a human reviewer. Let the reviewer resolve their own comments, unless they have reviewed and accepted your commit, or agreed with your explanation for why the feedback was incorrect.
Caution
Pull requests must be written using an AI agent with human supervision. Pull requests written entirely by a human will likely be rejected, because of lower code quality, higher review effort and the higher risk of introducing bugs. Please note that AI review comments on this pull request alone do not satisfy this requirement. Our CI and AI review are safeguards, not development tools. If many issues are flagged, rethink your development approach. Invest more effort in planning and design rather than using review cycles to fix low-quality code.
Parse Server adds Node.js 26 to its supported engine versions and CI coverage. The changes also update Parse dependencies and add Node.js 26 to the README badge and compatibility table.
Changes: Node.js 26 support
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Runtime support and dependency updates package.json, package-lock.json
The declared engine range adds Node.js 26. The parse and @parse/push-adapter versions are updated, along with their locked dependencies and engine ranges.
CI runtime matrix .github/workflows/ci.yml
The default Node.js version and selected MongoDB, Redis Cache, and PostgreSQL matrix versions change to 26.13.0. A MongoDB 8.0.4 test case uses Node.js 24.11.0.
Node.js compatibility documentation README.md
The support badge and compatibility table add Node.js 26. The table lists 26.13.0 as the minimum version.
#10850: The issue lists Node.js 26 support as a prerequisite. This PR adds the engine declaration and CI coverage, but does not change the Docker image.
Merge Risk: Minimal · up to 9fe70
This change adds Node.js 26 support through the engines range, dependency updates, CI matrix entries and documentation. No concrete regression was found. A small pre-existing CI gap remains: the lint, definitions, circular and docs jobs do not use the declared default Node version. It can be fixed separately.

Explanation
Directly linked issue #10853 has these coding requirements. All are met at the reviewed head.
Upgrade dependencies that exclude Node.js 26 [#10853]: package.json sets parse to 8.7.0 and @parse/push-adapter to 8.6.0. The package-lock.json summary reports the matching upgrade of @parse/node-apn to 8.2.0 and node-forge to 1.4.2. I did not read the lockfile diff directly. This evidence comes from the summary.
Add Node.js 26 to engines [#10853]: package.json engines.node now ends with || >=26.13.0 <27.0.0. The package-lock.json summary reports the same range for Parse Server.
CI on Node.js 26.13.0 [#10853]: .github/workflows/ci.yml sets the top-level NODE_VERSION to 26.13.0. It also sets 26.13.0 for the MongoDB 7, MongoDB 8 and MongoDB 8.3 ReplicaSet jobs, the Redis Cache job, and the PostgreSQL 16, 17 and 18 jobs.
Separate Node 24 job [#10853]: a new matrix entry Node 24 uses NODE_VERSION 24.11.0 with MONGODB_VERSION 8.0.4 and standalone topology. It sits beside the existing Node 20 and Node 22 entries.
README badge and compatibility table [#10853]: the Node Version badge now lists 20, 22, 24, 26. The compatibility table has a Node.js 26 | 26.13.0 row.
The issue scope excludes the Docker image Node.js major version, which belongs to #10850. The PR does not change the Docker image. No non-coding requirement remains that would change this result.

Explanation
Every changed hunk in the reviewed diff maps to a requirement of #10853. The changed files are package.json, .github/workflows/ci.yml and README.md. The package-lock.json changes, reported in the summary, are the lockfile counterpart of the package.json dependency and engines changes. The CI changes are the NODE_VERSION default, the replica set, Redis and PostgreSQL matrix values, and the new Node 24 entry. The new Node 24 entry is required by #10853. The README changes are the badge and table rows. The PR adds no unrelated source, test or documentation changes. The Node.js 26.0.0 API review and the undici fetch note in the PR description are analysis, not code changes. Nothing in the reviewed evidence is out of scope.

Full details: Security Check
Explanation
No security vulnerability pattern was introduced. The pull request changes only Node.js version matrices, documentation, and pinned dependency metadata. The dependency updates include integrity hashes and upgrade node-forge from 1.4.0 to 1.4.2. The workflow changes add no commands, permissions, secrets, or untrusted inputs.

Use the default Node version in non-matrix jobs.
check-ci has no matrix, so this input is empty and setup-node keeps the runner’s Node version. The same issue affects check-lint, check-definitions, check-circular, and check-docs. These jobs therefore do not reliably run on the requested Node 26.13.0. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
Use ${{ env.NODE_VERSION }} in those jobs.

default `env.NODE_VERSION` instead of `matrix.node-version`, while preserving
