Description

cuDLA status enum members now use uppercase canonical names such as Status.SUCCESS and Status.ERROR_INVALID_PARAM. Existing camel-case names remain aliases to the same enum members.

Regenerate the native bindings for CUDA 13.4.2 and update the error-message regression test: CudlaError formats the canonical member name, so the message is now ERROR_INVALID_PARAM (1). The test continues constructing the error through the legacy alias and explicitly checks alias identity.

Validation

  • Rebuilt the bindings against CUDA 13.4.
  • All 40 cudla tests passed against the compiled bindings.
  • pre-commit run --all-files passed.

Checklist

  • I have read the Contributing Guidelines.
  • New or existing tests cover these changes.
  • The documentation is up to date with these changes.

Run cybind native generation for CUDA 13.4.2. The generated change gives
cuDLA status members uppercase canonical names and retains the previous
camel-case names as backward-compatible aliases.

Expect the uppercase canonical status name in CudlaError messages while
retaining coverage of the legacy enum alias and checking its identity.

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • CUDLA status values are now available under uppercase names, providing a consistent naming option across the status enum.
  • Compatibility
    • Existing mixed-case status names remain available as aliases, so code using the previous names continues to work.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Error strings now display uppercase status names, such as ERROR_INVALID_PARAM.

The CUDLA Status enum now exposes uppercase names for its status values. The former mixed-case names remain available as aliases. The error-string test checks alias identity and expects the uppercase name.

Changes: CUDLA status names

Status adds uppercase names and retains mixed-case names as aliases. The test checks that both names identify the same member and expects ERROR_INVALID_PARAM in the error string.
