[TRI-4372] Errors thrown in `onStart` should fail the run with that error

As we currently state in our docs:

Errors thrown in the onStart function are ignored.

However, I think this is the wrong behaviour. It should fail with the error.

Unfortunately this doesn't fix the issue. The problem is inside our SDK package where we are not failing a run because of a thrown error. Your change is just in one of our reference projects and doesn't change the behaviour.
