[ 41.615221] sof-audio-pci-intel-tgl 0000:00:1f.3: error: dsp init failed after 3 attempts with err: -110@mattialis I suspect here that FW is still booting when kernel calls a time out (kernel has changed a bit since SOF v2.2), the status showing FW is still booting. Can you try and extend the timeout in the driver and see if that helps.
Hi, as suggested I rebuilt my ubuntu 22 kernel enlarging trying and timeouts. I don't know if the increase is not enough, however this is the dmesg (the print with asterisk is mine)

Not sure what's different with your system compared to the EHL validation system (which I no longer have). EHL is an older platform and SOF was parked at version v2.2 for EHL, but older version for EHL were also supported.
Can you clone https://github.com/thesofproject/sof-bin and try older EHL FW versions (you can copy over the system FW file with teh older version from this repo and reload the driver).@mattialis
what is slimbootloader?(slimbootloader must be https://github.com/slimbootloader ). Is Intel CSME enabled normally? The error indicates audio DSP ROM is failing to engage with the CSME to complete authentication of the DSP FW image and the DSP boot fails.Hi, after contacting Intel premium support, I discovered that the original IFWI bios shipped with the reference board has this issue. Updating the IFWI with the latest the dsp init problem disappeared (also, stitching slimbootloader with this new IFWI works too)

Hi, I'm trying an Elkhart lake CRB devkit, with slimbootloader and ubuntu 22.04.5 (kernel 6.8). This board uses an I2S codec (rt5660). When it tries to load SOF firmware, it panics on init:
