fix(mobile): show every image when Markdown puts one per line - #30280
An assistant message with images on consecutive lines, the way agents usually post screenshots, showed only the first image on Android, cropped top and bottom. The others were missing.
Those lines form a single Markdown paragraph. In react-native-enriched-markdown, a paragraph gets block image sizing only when its single child is an image (ParagraphRenderer via containsBlockImage), and an image after the first in a paragraph renders inline (isInlineImage). A blank line between the images already avoided it.
Fix
markdownForNativeParsing now splits a top-level paragraph that holds only images at every line break, so each image that starts a line gets its own paragraph (soft or hard breaks, keeping the source's line ending). Both native paths go through it: plain native rendering and the file embed path, which then also sees each image as standalone. Images that share a line, such as a row of badges, stay together on that line. parseMarkdownDocument keeps the authored paragraphs, so the PR description and image-source readers are unchanged, and a regex check skips the extra parse unless a line break sits between two images.
Not covered: images inside blockquotes or list items, images with caption lines between them, and linked images. Those keep today's rendering.
Evidence
New case in apps/mobile/src/lib/markdownHtml.test.ts parses the output with the library's own parseMarkdown. On main the three images come back as one Image SoftBreak Image LineBreak Image paragraph, and with the fix as three Image paragraphs. Same-line images stay one paragraph, and CRLF input keeps CRLF.

Not checked: iOS. It goes through the same transform, and a separate paragraph per image is what it already renders for images separated by blank lines.

Images on consecutive lines form one Markdown paragraph. The native
renderer sizes an image as a block only when it is its paragraph's only
child, so on Android the first image was cropped and the rest were not
drawn.
markdownForNativeParsing now gives each image its own paragraph when a
top-level paragraph holds only images, one per line. Images that share a
line stay inline, and parseMarkdownDocument keeps the authored paragraphs.

Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — Mobile Markdown now gives consecutive image-only lines separate image blocks so every image can display at full block size. The change is confined to rendering preparation and leaves stored content, document readers, and same-line images unchanged.

Walkthrough
The native parsing path now inserts blank lines between line-separated images in image-only paragraphs. parseMarkdownDocument parses normalized Markdown directly. Tests cover line-separated images, adjacent images, and CRLF and CR input.
markdownForNativeParsing inserts blank lines between images in image-only paragraphs when line endings separate them. parseMarkdownDocument parses normalizedMarkdown directly. Tests cover line-separated images, adjacent images, and CRLF and CR input.
The change addresses the supported native rendering case without an identified merge-blocking regression.

Explanation
The title "fix(mobile): show every image when Markdown puts one per line" matches the main change. The PR splits a top-level image-only paragraph at line breaks so each image gets its own paragraph, which fixes the Android bug where only the first image showed. The title uses the conventional commit format and is specific to the mobile app. It does not name the paragraph-splitting mechanism, but it is clear and accurate.

Explanation
Issue #28063 requires every Markdown image on consecutive lines to render as a separate full-size image block on Android. markdownForNativeParsing now inserts paragraph breaks between images in top-level image-only paragraphs. markdownForNativeRendering uses this transform, and the file-embed path therefore receives separate image paragraphs. The focused test verifies separate paragraphs, same-line images, hard breaks, reference images, and CRLF and CR line endings.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The pull request changes native Markdown preprocessing in apps/mobile/src/lib/markdownDocument.ts and adds focused coverage in apps/mobile/src/lib/markdownHtml.test.ts. These changes directly support issue #28063 and preserve authored paragraph parsing through parseMarkdownDocument. No unrelated product behavior or unrelated file change is shown in the reviewed diff.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description covers the problem, the change, scope, and verification. It has a Problem section with the expected and actual behavior, a Fix section that explains the approach, a Scope section that lists the exclusions, and a Verification section with unit tests, a check run, and Android before/after evidence. It links issue #28063. The template asks for an approval link or maintainer approval of scope under Scope and approval. The description links the issue but does not show a triaged issue or maintainer approval comment, and it does not explain why this fix qualifies without prior approval. The template also asks for the model and harness used. The description says it was written with Claude Opus 5.5 in Claude Code, which covers that item.
Resolution
Add evidence that the linked issue #28063 is triaged or that a maintainer approved the direction and scope, such as a link to the approval comment. If no such approval exists, explain why this focused fix of an obvious bug qualifies without a prior issue or discussion. Otherwise the description meets the template.

A paragraph such as ` ` followed by `` on the next
line was skipped whole, because one gap between its images had no line
break, so `c` stayed inline. Split each gap that has a line break and
leave same-line images together.

Recognize CR-only Markdown line endings before the image split.
A top-level image-only paragraph with CR-only separators does not match the current \n-only guard. Both native paths can therefore leave later images in the same paragraph. Recognize LF, CRLF, and CR line endings.

Update the image-line guard in the Markdown processing flow to recognize LF,
CRLF, and CR separators before an image, so CR-only input reaches the existing
image-splitting logic.

The pre-check that skips the extra parse only looked for LF, so Markdown
with CR-only line endings never reached the split. Match CR as well,
as the split itself already does.

The guard before the extra Markdown parse matched any image at the start
of a line, including images already separated by blank lines, so most
messages with a screenshot paid for a parse on every streaming tick.
Match only an image end followed by a line break and another image.
