fix(mobile): videos next to text get a player instead of a link - #27769
In the mobile app, a video written in image syntax shows no player when it shares a paragraph with text:
Here is the run

With an empty line above and below, the same file plays. Web plays the video in both positions.
markdownWithFileEmbeds passes standalone = true only for the sole child of a top-level paragraph, and markdownFileEmbedLabel returns a filename for a non-standalone video or audio file. The embed is rewritten to [x.mp4](<C:/path/x.mp4>), so renderImage never receives it.
Change
markdownWithFileEmbeds now moves a video or audio embed that shares a paragraph with text into its own paragraph, so it reaches the native media slot. Paragraph breaks keep the > markers of surrounding quotes. An embed alone in a block quote or admonition also counts as standalone, because the library has a slot there.
The filename link stays in these cases:
List items and task items. react-native-enriched-markdown makes no slot inside a list (cpp/parser/BlockSlots.cpp:129), and moving the video out would mean rewriting list structure.
Headings, table cells and embeds inside links.
A paragraph containing ||.
A lazy block quote line (> text then an unmarked video line), which would otherwise fall out of the quote.
Text before or after the embed that would stop being a paragraph once split, such as - demo or intro then --- .
Images, PDFs, other files and code are unchanged.
Scope and approval
There is no prior issue or maintainer discussion. This is a focused fix for an obvious bug: the same file plays or does not play depending on an empty line. It solves that one problem and touches only apps/mobile/src/lib/.
Related: #24735 (open) splits images into their own paragraph, but it runs after markdownWithFileEmbeds, when the video is already a link, so it does not cover this case. If it merges first, this split can be reduced to use markdownWithBlockImages.
Verification
Run on an AYN Thor (Android 13) with one debug dev client, one thread and one message. Before is main's markdownDocument.ts, after is this branch, swapped through Metro. The message came from the repo's replay provider, against a throwaway dev server.

Known edge, not handled: a backslash hard break right after a video leaves a paragraph that starts with a lone \.

Walkthrough
The mobile Markdown transformation now separates eligible audio and video embeds from surrounding paragraph text in supported document and blockquote contexts. Tests cover media-slot placement, link fallbacks, and contexts where embeds remain unchanged.

Summary
Paragraph splitting and embed handling apps/mobile/src/lib/markdownDocument.ts
The transformation tracks potential slot parents and splits eligible embeds from paragraph text. It preserves quote prefixes and skips splitting for specified paragraph content and block-start cases.
Media embed behavior tests apps/mobile/src/lib/markdownHtml.test.ts
Tests cover media-slot placement in supported contexts, filename-link fallbacks in listed nested contexts, and unchanged images and code-contained embeds.

Preserve blockquotes when splitting lazy continuation lines.
For > text\n, the image is a lazy continuation of the quoted paragraph. This edit inserts a blank quoted line but leaves the image line without >. The image then moves outside the blockquote. Add the quote prefix to that line, or retain the filename-link fallback if the prefix cannot be preserved. (spec.commonmark.org)

For intro\n--- , the preceding fragment is intro\n---. The anchored blockStart check does not match because the fragment starts with intro. The split at markdownDocument.ts:490-495 therefore creates intro\n--- \n\n, which parses intro and --- as a setext heading.
Reject the split when reparsing the preceding fragment produces a non-paragraph block.

the verification rule applies to #27769 at 67623e154a. the native markdown preprocessing change enables video/audio players beside text, but the body explicitly says the fix has never run on a device or simulator and has no before/after captures; parser and wasm slot tests do not show native playback.
capture matching before/after native-client rendering and a short recording opening/playing paragraph-adjacent media, including quote and trailing-text controls, then request reconsideration with the existing focused results.
Native captures are now in the PR description: matching before/after from an Android device, and a recording of paragraph-adjacent videos playing, including the quote and trailing-text controls.
I also pushed ee6b25ce82, which fixes both CodeRabbit findings. Those two cases now keep the filename link. The closed PR still shows 67623e154a, so that commit will only appear once the PR is reopened.
iOS was not tested, and a video in a list item still shows a link because the library has no media slot inside lists.
