Problem

The app was behind the current Expo and Clerk releases.

Change

Update Expo to 58.0.11 and align its native modules, including React Native 0.88.0. Update the Clerk SDKs across mobile, web, desktop, and the backend to their latest stable releases.

Update keyboard-controller to 1.22.7 for upstream Reanimated 4.7 compatibility, replacing our duplicate crash workaround while retaining the app-specific inset patch.

Update native-stack to 7.21.0, native to 7.5.1, and elements to 2.9.45. Rebase our header and presentation patch while preserving upstream scene memoization and header inset support. The upstream identifier type covers buttons and menus; custom header views still require our addition.

Preserve our native fixes by rebasing the Expo and gesture-handler patches. Clerk moved native components into a separate package, so migrate the import and native patch to @clerk/expo-native-components. Declare @clerk/clerk-js directly in web to match its existing Vite prebundle configuration.

Verification

• Provider-compatibility tests passed after rebasing onto the upstream release-fixture fix.
• Expo dependency compatibility check passed.
• All 2,414 mobile tests and 51 focused authentication tests passed.
• Mobile, web, desktop, and relay typechecks passed.
• Mobile native static analysis passed.
• Native-stack follow-up: all 62 focused navigation/header tests, mobile typechecking, and native static analysis passed. No simulator pass was performed for this follow-up.
• Before the keyboard-controller follow-up, the iOS native build succeeded and launched on iPhone 18 Pro, iPad Pro 13-inch, and iPhone Duo simulators. The final keyboard-controller bump passed mobile typecheck and all 2,414 mobile tests; its native binary has not been rebuilt yet.

This is a dependency upgrade with no intended visual change. Android native build and full sign-in flows have not been verified. Clerk still declares an Expo peer range below SDK 58; the iOS build and startup passed with our existing SDK 58 setup. The native dependency changes require a new binary, not only an OTA update.

• The Clerk host clears its pop guard on window detachment and after transition completion (including cancellation), with an immediate reset when no coordinator exists.
• NativeThemeHost memoizes color overrides by the resolved palette and system-color setting.

Patch installation, Swift syntax parsing, targeted lint, and mobile typecheck passed. A fresh native build and interactive cancellation verification have not been run for this follow-up.
