ApprovabilityVerdict: Approved at Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — This is a small, localized UI and accessibility fix that surfaces an already-existing title-regeneration state across web and mobile clients. It does not alter the regeneration workflow, APIs, stored data, production configuration, or downstream processing. You can add or adjust custom eligibility rules. Learn more. |

Move the status region outside the title button.
Base UI composes these children into the supplied button. Browsers expose button descendants as presentational, so the nested role="status" does not retain its live-region semantics. (base-ui.com) Move the status span outside the button so assistive technology can announce the header’s regeneration state.

Expose the regeneration status outside the row button.
titleRegenerationIndicator places role="status" inside the row’s role="button" subtree. ARIA maps button descendants as presentational, so assistive technology does not receive the nested status role. The row’s explicit aria-label also omits regeneration. Move the live region outside the button subtree. (w3.org)

The sidebar only dimmed the title, and the chat header and mobile thread list showed nothing. Show a static refresh icon next to the title in both sidebar row layouts, the chat header and both mobile row layouts, and dim the header title the way the sidebar already does.
Drop aria-busy so the Regenerating title status is not deferred, and fold the state into the mobile row's accessibility label since nested labels are never read.

What Changed
While a thread's title is regenerating, a static refresh icon now appears next to the title in:
Screen readers announce it too. On web, the existing
role="status""Regenerating title" text is kept, and the row'saria-busyis dropped so the announcement isn't deferred. On mobile, the row is a single accessible element whose nested labels are never read, so its accessibility label becomes "<title>, regenerating title" during regeneration. The icon doesn't spin on purpose: a looping animation would repaint every frame for the whole regeneration.
Why
Clicking "Regenerate title" gave almost no feedback. On
