ApprovabilityVerdict: Not approved Macroscope's review found this PR not approvable — This PR changes Bitbucket pull-request rendering across server decoding, shared contracts, and several web surfaces, adding nontrivial Markdown/HTML parsing to preserve editable source while changing displayed text. The scope is focused and backward-compatible, but the cross-layer runtime behavior and parser complexity warrant human review. You can add or adjust custom eligibility rules. Learn more. |

other HTML nodes. This preserves separation between adjacent text and resolved

Taking over this one as maintainer for batch pull-request-12. I will rebuild from main as a small stack separating the optional display-text contract from Bitbucket decoding and client rendering, credit the original contribution, and compare the full original diff before closing this PR. Tests, implementation and independent adversarial review run separately; editable Markdown and agent context must retain the exact raw source. |

Thanks @0pilatos0 — your same-object Bitbucket metadata resolution and separation of rendered names from editable source are the basis of this takeover. Rebuilt on current main as a stack: #21647 adds optional display contracts; #21648 implements the Bitbucket decoder and client readers, with before/after browser evidence and raw save payloads. I compared the full original diff against the stack. Description and comment metadata resolution, literal-safe parsing, raw edits/saves/agent context, web Summary/Timeline/Code displays, collapsed previews and dependencies are retained. Two one-off test suites were replaced with four focused cases in existing suites. The stack completes mobile readers and adds source-preserving native display text; reviews also fixed unclosed inline tags masking later prose. Conflicts were resolved while retaining main’s newer diff cache and merged/closed timestamp behavior. Two full parallel adversarial review rounds are clear; 190 focused tests, six scoped typechecks, lint and formatting passed. Fresh CI is running. Live Bitbucket metadata and native platform verification, plus human approval of the parser/contract change, remain explicit gates. Closing this original in favor of the linked stack; nothing has been merged. |
Problem
Bitbucket stores user mentions as
@{account-id}. T3 displays those IDs instead of names in comments and PR descriptions.Change
Resolve names from the rendered HTML Bitbucket already returns. Optional display text reaches Summary, Timeline and Code; editors, writes and agent context keep the exact original Markdown. Missing metadata falls back to the original token. Code, authored links and HTML literals stay intact.
Scope and approval
Fixes #14771. Follows the maintainer's triage and suggested scope. Limited to user mentions, with no account lookups or new settings.
Verification
195 focused tests pass:
vp test run apps/server/src/pullRequest/bitbucketMentions.test.ts apps/server/src/pullRequest/bitbucketPullRequestJson.test.ts apps/web/src/components/pullRequest/pullRequestMarkdown.logic.test.ts apps/web/src/components/pullRequest/pullRequestDetail.logic.test.tsContracts, server and web type checks pass. Changed files pass formatting and lint, with existing React warnings.
Tested in the actual T3 web client on macOS with an isolated fake Bitbucket API: Summary, Timeline, Code and descriptions show names; editing retains tokens, and a captured save sends the original token in
content.raw. Native desktop/mobile were not run separately. Thermo-nuclear review found no blocking design or correctness issues. Before
