Multiple account support

Hey team, it is possible to use this MCP server with multiple accounts at the same time?

To do this you'd need to run two MCP servers side by side with the different credentials, but this is very likely to result in confusion over which tool to call. At the moment there is not a good way of doing this.

What is your use case for this? Multiple .com accounts or are you trying to use with .com and a GHES server for example? This would be useful information for us for future work around this.

@omgitsads I have 2 Github accounts, one is my personal account (for personal projects) and the other is my work account (that my work demands to being separate)

I basically need to use the proper account depending on the folder I'm at

I added the 2 MCP servers and it works, but I need to explicitly ask the LLM to use a given MCP for that. I think the API could be simpler, like having muiltiple accounts and trying one by one in case of auth failures

Would this not fit the use case of per project .vscode/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json) configurations?

This would still have the same issue of multiple MCP servers if you had an additional globally configured MCP server for your editor so is not entirely ideal, but could be a workaround in the short term.

@omgitsads I've been using Warp for development as well, I'm not sure if Warp supports MCP config per project, I will take a look on it

I have the exact same issue. Technically I use one account, but I use one PAT for my personal context and another PAT for accessing my GH organization.

Would this not fit the use case of per project .vscode/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json) configurations?

@omgitsads It would, but since I use my PAT in mcp.json I can't just commit this file.
I also have many repos in my org - I'd need to go to all of them, one by one, create mcp.json in each one, and then also do that for each of my personal repos with the different mcp.json.
I feel like there should be a better way to do that :-)
