Should a peer's designation with a two-word place stay whole, as in Baroness Doe of Kings Heath? #967

Open

Description

@derek73

Found by the govuk-people local corpus (#962), fetched 2026-10-30. Names are invented.

Today

  • Baroness Doe of Kings Heath → given Doe of Kings, family Heath.
  • Lord Doe of Little Ashby OBE → given Doe of Little, family Ashby.
  • A one-word place reads whole: Baroness Doe of Heath → family Doe of Heath.

Size: 9 of the 74 Lord/Baroness X of Y names in govuk-people have a two-word place after of.

To settle: how far the of connective reaches on its right (rules/P3), and whether a peerage title in front licenses a wider reach.
