Block Side Menu and Drag Handle Hidden When Horizontal Scrollbar Appears #2168
Describe the bug
The Block Side Menu and drag handle become invisible when a horizontal scrollbar appears in the editor. This makes it impossible to access block operations (drag, menu options) when content requires horizontal scrolling.
@yannishin Thanks, trying to figure out what the impact is of this issue: As content will be auto wrapped automatically when the size exceeds the viewport, I'm wondering what use cases there are in which products intentionally don't wrap and end up facing this issue.
No, this is not currently blocking for us. For small screen environments, we've implemented our own ribbon menu instead of using the SideMenu, so we're not affected by this issue in practice.
Please take the time you need for the proper refactor — we'd rather have a clean solution than a quick patch.

Could you explain where this was and as who you're sponsoring? Thanks!

This bug is caused by
elementsFromPointin SideMenu extension, which only works if the "point" is in the viewport, and this is not the case here.Instead of fixing this directly I'd rather take a zoomed out look at SideMenu and refactor it further, but this means the fix will take longer.
@yannishin is this issue blocking for you at this moment?
